Iguana’s rare ‘virgin birth’ shocks Telford Zoo keepers – BBC News
It’s on the main page on BBC news as real. It’s not April fools day. It’s left as being real. When we see something like this , we get an understanding of the specificity of life. It shows a pondering of it , and a sort of ‘what if’.
The ‘what if’ in the case of the iguana’s making babies without mating is very thought provoking. Is it real or is it Hocus Pocus and the night staff at this ‘exotic zoo’ have been a bit naughty. No idea. Might have to rethink the conclusion pages a bit though.
This is very difficult to get to the bottom of. Google AI says that the mother Iguana was always alone in enclosure and never met a mate. But depending on how you search , the AI says No, not all iguanas at Telford Exotic Zoo are female. Is hard to clarify.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
But to start , there is a man and there is a woman. This is about the lack of evidence for any evolution process that shows how that can be.
The number of people that had a think about evolution ideas before the internet was left to a hand full of people. The fossils they have used to say that animals evolved are now available to see. Nothing convincing at all when looking at them. Just maybe’s and could be’s and possibilities to connect them together to show any evolution.
Is it possible that all animal species and plants each had a singular start , despite their similarities , and are not necessarily related at all to each other. They might , or could , all come about and populate on their own using the same physical possibilities available like eyes or skeletons.
It’s easy to think that the theory of evolution doesn’t feel quite right , but it can’t easily be put into words as to why it doesn’t feel quite right. We have a think about life , and come up with conjectures about it like animals and plants evolved and it seems like something to go on.
But just the nose on a face or a toe nail on a toe of an animal would need explaining first. We can say that they evolved but we’d also have to explain how it is that they in a sort of way evolved to breath and smell the air in the case of a nose or offer protection to a toe in the case of a toe nail.
Then there are happenings that we consider as not physical , like thought and memory. We can find some music we haven’t heard for many years and listen to it again today and none of it feels new to us , and so we say it must have been there in what we call memory or the memory , and maybe next think what has happened in my life between those years. Bringing up memories of say childhood visits to the seaside , or the day of getting married , is not quite as distinctive as listening to some music and the sense that almost every second of it is not new to us. We do know that we haven’t forgotten the music when we hear it. We feel that it is there and was always there. Somehow though, however we ponder it , it feels like it’s a normality and that it is in existence.
We might wonder if the memory of that music was always there in say the brain or maybe that it can be reproduced by the brain or in some other way , or whatever. No idea.
But is the theory of evolution of physical animals idea that we use , of random mutations and natural selection , enough to explain that immensity of memory and whatever it is and however it occurs. Just doesn’t seem that there can have been a sort of something like the ability of a bit memory to occur and then over more millions of years there would eventually be better memory. There would have to be the ability or the existence of memory to start with so why would any graduality have to be necessary.
Make sense. Of course it doesn’t. We can experience the music we have heard before because we can play it again , but we can’t experience again the day we went to the seaside. If we could experience that day in some way we might also say that it’s not new and that the memory has it.
Also we can imagine the sound of a dog barking or the screech of a seagull , but can’t quite get to producing the real sound using only our thoughts. We do know their sounds when we do actually hear them even if we hadn’t heard one since fifty years ago. What does that mean , no idea. Then why say it.
Well , it’s a little bit difficult to articulate that it seems with our thought that the existence of the ability of memory , whatever it is , might never have had to have evolved. That’s more complicated now because we’d have to consider thought while thinking about memory.
But we might wonder what our evolution idea has to do with it , like how would evolution evolve the ability of memory to know or remember a sound or a music melody that has been heard before. That kind of ability or thing surly didn’t have to evolve. We might say it got better and better , but that doesn’t help with the fact that it exists. And since it exists , why would it not get better using whatever it used to exist.
On thought and thinking , that is just as difficult to put down to our evolution ideas. In simple thinking , it can’t be accepted that our evolution ideas have anything to do with thought and thinking. Much more likely is that somehow , memory and thought are also whole singularities on which our evolution ideas have nothing to do with.
So keeping for now on just the evolution theory of the all living physical animal.
How do some animals have feet with toes and toe nails that exist at the end of two legs and how do hands with fingers happen to seamlessly join to the arms. Seems silly , but, then how did a pair of lungs know that air is available to breath. This is about whether those arms and legs and lungs or this whole house fly , used our evolution theory to both exist and evolve.

Taken by Muhammad Mahdi Karim This housefly fancies other house flies
It has of course to start with the old question of how is there a man and a woman. There can be no presumptions to what the answer could be because we just don’t don’t know. But a man and a woman do exist and differ from each other , and we have to then ask , does our idea of evolution play a part in that difference , or is that difference too succinct to have evolved. The difference is of course more than unexplainable. You and me are one or the other , and we don’t mind , but how it exists surely can’t be said to have evolved. The difference in some way just exists , so why do we think that our evolution ideas have anything to do with not just that man and women difference , but anything at all. A man and a woman would need some kind of explaining as to how evolution would bring either about. Simple thought says that a man and a woman exist and that no evolution idea brings that about.
There are other thoughts we might also ask like why is living so hard and painful when an animal can exist in the first place. You’d think that the coming about of any animal would not leave the animal to suffer. No idea. But that’s some other kind of thinking. This is just about our evolution ideas.
At once , we know that our theory of evolution has nothing to do with the actual occurrence of the man and woman difference. Our evolution ideas are about physical changes and developments. How could or would any evolution process come up with the two different body plans that are able to make babies. Not just man and woman , but millions of other male and female setups that exist and existed millions of years before the human man and woman.
Just seems that our evolution theory doesn’t come up with male and female and it therefore begs the question as to why we think that any animal evolves at all.
We could maybe imagine that humans have evolved using evolution from some other animal that were male and female . Nothing wrong with the idea in itself , as we could imagine that since male and female animals existed before humans then some animal could have evolved into humans. But , it is quite a leap to ignore the fact that the animal that could have evolved into humans , already had the body parts of male and female. The phenomena of male and female would have to be explained before any conjecture of evolution could be considered as useful.
Evolution theory says that random mutations in animal bodies are key and that natural selection allows in some way the success of the best.
If we follow that thought through with the idea that humans are today the way that they are , then there would have to have been some sort of of natural selection to natural deselection , because the monkey or ape or whatever humans evolved from , had fur , and humans are left with almost just eyebrows and eye lashes. Every single person on earth has eyebrows and eyelashes.
How. And no this or that did it. No idea. But basically there is no evidence at all to show that any evolution ideas are fact. Am not postulating in here anything other than our evolution theory lacks evidence and that the evolution sort of thinking could be wrong , very wrong.
The theories are ours. We sort of know that, but we don’t even know how we sort of know that. Obviously we don’t even know anything about how we are thinking about what we are , but our conjectures must be weak and wrong against the reality. Hard to understand why we are in this position , but we can’t think outside of our thinking. So to think that evolution theory has anything to do with a man and a woman and any other animals that have a male and female set up , requires some evidence. There is just no evidence at all to show how that difference evolved. Just seems that animals and trees and plants , don’t require evolution for them to be here today or there tomorrow.
We could think of other specificities like blood and milk , and wonder about whether they exist on other planets along with eggs and fruits. If they do exist on other planets along with males and females that have hearts and lungs , then we would more conclude that they are all universal phenomena and don’t rely on our evolution ideas. A phenomena is a whole. There is no in between.
Would all of the other physical phenomena like a brain or a toe nail or a set of teeth in reality mess around relying on our invention of natural selection to choose from our other invention , random mutations.
Just looking at our own pair of legs with feet and five toes at the end of each of them with toe nails would make anyone wonder how on earth have these words like natural selection and random mutations crept into our thinking. Quite simply , why are these niggly thoughts about evolution there. Why are they there at all.
The word ‘evolution’ carries with it a weight that drowns out common sense. Even if the physicality’s evolved in some way , we surely can’t put the phenomena of them down to random mutations and natural selection. A flower that comes into bloom every spring and the existence of legs and feet that make walking possible , surely don’t use our evolution theory conjectures to be what they are.
Then there are ducks that float on water and paddle using webbed feet. It doesn’t feel when you watch them , that they have relied on an evolutionary process to come up with all the necessary parts to be a duck. Quite simply , our ‘evolution did it all’ is backed up with pure conjecture only. Take any body part like teeth. They obviously exist to chew food , so the need to chew food must have come before the teeth.
The evolution ideas that we have might not play part in anything.

Before any phenomena like males and females , there was nothing , so we don’t know how any of them came to exist and we certainly can’t explain how just that one phenomena continues. Since that one phenomena of male and female somehow comes about , then it would surely be common sense to think that it would use whatever it used to come about in the first place to carry on.
And just that one phenomena of male and female would definitely not rely on what conjectures we have come up with. Put simply , the phenomena or the idea of males and females surely didn’t evolve. We can conjecture that the physicality’s of males and females evolved after they came into existence , but can’t conjecture in any way anything about the very existence of the phenomena of males and females. That alone tells us that our evolution idea needs more than a rethink.
Our planet can’t be the first planet that was able to support the type of life that is on our planet. There must be other planets that have rivers and sea and soil. If males and females existed on other planets before our planet had formed , what would that mean. Maybe it would mean that life is sprinkled onto a ready to have life planet. Simple conjecture , but it just seems like planets with life must have existed before even our own galaxy with earth came to be. The science says that life appeared as soon as it could have on planet earth , once things had cooled down enough.
The other way would be that life itself made the planets for itself to live on , like penguins made the icy cold south pole to live in , and lions made the hot African plains to live in.
But however we think about it all , there are other things to think about.
Worms fancy worms , penguins fancy penguins , and giraffes fancy giraffes. What has our evolution idea got to do with how that came about. And other animals 500 million years ago had eyes and other body parts and also fancied their own species.
There is surely absolutely no way to conjecture that they fancied or fancy their own species because of random mutations and natural selection. It is such a specific phenomena.. So why do we conjecture that any whole physical animal or whole physical plant like a tree , relies on random mutations and natural selection to turn from one species to another, if they ever did.
( Am using the word fancy for simplicity. There is so much more of course but just using it for now) We do know though that phenomena are incomprehensible to us , at the moment. But in the main , not one of them can be explained using any evolution ideas.
