In the main Page 3 of 3

Aside from the physicalities of feathers and eye connections and their evolution or otherwise , we would have to wonder how anyone’s experience of the now feels so normal. It’s been a few billions of years since the earth came about and today we humans are watching the TV or going to work or making babies and having haircuts and it all feels normal. How are all of our thoughts so together without any feeling of weirdness about it. We treat memories that we have of our own past as something that is normal. It doesn’t trouble us at all.

From our normal feeling we have a think about what it’s all about and come up with evolution ideas. But those ideas seem useless to explain how we feel that normality , like how we fancy our own species. Even the thinking about it all is likely in a way sort of restricted , as even what we try to think about or contemplate what we are able to think about is all we have. It’s very strange to think that each of us are on our own and left to wonder about what we are. It’s basically impossible to think outside of what we can think about. That’s perhaps why we feel that normality.

We can though also come up with thoughts about what happens next. Of course though , even that is in our normal thinking and we don’t know that the thought about what happens when we pass away is a thought that is really about what we think. Problem could occur as when we pass away we might not know that we have passed away because we wouldn’t know that we had passed away. Think I’ll stick to the evolution and physicalities thing.

The feeling of normality would have to be applied to every animal that has ever existed and for every moment of their and our lives. That feeling of normality is obviously some sort of given like the fancying same species thing. It is in every single animal including us and it’s something that we can’t think outside of. It is solid. That solidity of feeling that this moment is normal is absolutely beyond our thinking about how it is. But using our evolution thinking is useless to understand why right at this moment we and every animal on earth feel normal. If that feeling of normality wasn’t there we would go loopy.

Back on ‘In the main’ though , evolution thought leads to fewer people having a think about the emergence of the first life. Accepting that life started as chemical reactions with some physics to produce next a biological all sensing animal and same with plants is to casual a way in which to think. The words simple to complex almost tells people to accept that the idea of simple to complex exists. It doesn’t. Bacteria and single cells are not simple and there is no evidence that they evolved into anything else.

And as mentioned earlier, Charles Darwin was waiting for discoveries of fossils to show evolution , and there were none. Just fossils showing different animals existed at different times. Pretty sure he would tell us today that he had no real useable evidence and that it was just his and a few other peoples conjecture that one animal evolved into another species.

Now for over 150 years since Charles Darwin wrote ‘origin of species’ book, most of us are now engrained into thinking that life exists in it’s present state because of the millions of years available to simply put together thousands of chemicals and body parts that are all working together bit by bit through natural selection acting on random mutations. And that it does it does it blindly by successful animals surviving and passing their genes on and surviving.

Since Charles Darwin’s book , train spotters, tiddly winks players, stamp collectors are not thinking about this one. It takes anyone on any subject to get hooked on it and put some concentration into it. So all those people who would have thought about it in the last 150 years would have heard that evolution and the way it works has been proved and that was that.

So 20 thousand students a year walk into college knowing that evolution happens or has happened using natural selection and random mutations. It has been catastrophic for wiping away thought for 150 years. Even if it is that way, it is a mistake to accept that It is that way based on the scant evidence. It is certainly important in medicine. How we think an animal came about makes a difference to how we look for curing illnesses. Our thoughts send us looking in different ways for finding those cures.

Take my thought. I thought antibiotics killed a tooth infection. They don’t. Antibiotics highlight the infection and then the body’s immune system is alerted to it and it kills the infection. I presume cancer studies have to consider this . If I was a scientist looking for cures my thinking would have been a hindrance.

It is hard to believe that the immune system relies on random mutations and natural selection. What if the immune system has nothing to do with evolution at all and in a common sense way of thinking it knows what it is doing.

Maybe a fossil will be found tomorrow that absolutely shows proof. Certainly trying to understand these googles on how DNA proves evolution is very difficult. You get led down paths and then informed that our DNA can be linked to a monkey and to a slug and to a fruit like the banana. It’s all to difficult to get a grasp of so please don’t rely on anything i say. I’m sure you won’t. But just having a think and writing it down. That’s all.

Next chapter. The senses and exactness.
